Parallel Escalator

Parallel escalators, also known as side-by-side escalators, are a configuration of escalators where two or more escalators run parallel to each other, usually in the same direction. This design increases the capacity of vertical transportation in high-traffic areas, such as transportation hubs, shopping centers, and stadiums. Parallel escalators can accommodate a higher volume of passengers compared to single escalators, as they provide multiple lanes of vertical transportation side by side. This helps to reduce congestion during peak hours and allows for smoother passenger flow.Parallel escalators are designed for efficiency in terms of energy consumption and operational costs. By distributing passenger traffic across multiple escalators, they help to optimise the use of resources and minimise wait times for passengers.
